Tim Kelly with 3 BallsTim Kelly juggles balls, clubs, torches, knives, cigar boxes and has a very unique routine with a tennis ball can & balls.

An expert in yo-yos, tops, coin snatching, and origami… according to this bio, Tim Kelly practices an average of 10 hours a day.

Is that possible? I’m not sure if I am fully awake 10 hours a day ;)

.

Tim Kelly 3 BallsOut of all the juggling videos on the internet, this one sticks out the most in my mind. “Tim Kelly 3 Balls – All the Tricks”. Tim shows amazing control while being completely entertaining. And his hair rocks it hardcore.

The music is perfect and the filming / editing is awesome too – making for a very enjoyable video, maybe the most entertaining juggling video online.

Learn to Juggle – 3 Clubs

December 18, 2007 | Leave a Comment

First, you should already know how to juggle a 3 ball cascade before beginning clubs. I’m sure it’s possible to learn clubs without ball experience, but it’s much less complicated to learn clubs when you don’t have to worry about juggling basics.

JugglingHQ has scooped up the best beginner club tutorials we could find and have them all here on this page for your convenience.

Our Tips for Learning to Juggle Clubs

  • If your hands are getting banged get a pair of fingerless gloves. Biking gloves or weight lifting gloves have worked for me.
  • Nowhere to get clubs, and you must learn now? All you need is 3 toliet plungers. Saw about 1.5 inches off the ends, wrap the handle in hockey tape, and you’re done. PS: This is how I learned how to juggle clubs while I waited for some real one’s I ordered online to arrive.
  • Don’t get discouraged. Take breaks, and come back.
  • They are called “Clubs” not “Pins”. They originate from Indian Exercise Clubs not bowling pins.
  • Warning: Clubs are a gateway to knives, torches, and chainsaws.

Learn to Juggle – 3 Ball Cascade

December 18, 2007 | Leave a Comment

The 3 ball cascade is usually the first juggling pattern the neophyte will learn. It looks harder than it actually is.

3 ball cascade juggling tutorial videoThis video tutorial does a good job of explaining how to learn this base pattern, as well as proper form.
The teacher is Jason Garfield, one of the most angriest passionate jugglers ever.

Garfield is also an advocate of proper form, and explains that in this video. Pay attention.

Our Tips for Learning the 3 Ball Cascade

  • Yes, you do have to learn 1 ball, then 2 balls, then 3 balls. Everyone learns at a different pace, but concentrate on getting each move down before moving on.
  • Personally, it took me a few hours to get just the 2 balls down solid. And solid is important — don’t try rushing, you’ll learn faster but will also end up with bad form and looking sloppy. I was doing 3 balls with 6-12 catches after a day, and had the pattern looking decent and solid after a week.
  • Take breaks. It’s ok to learn a little at a time.
  • If possible, start out with beanbags, Russian balls, or other balls that won’t bounce / roll away on you.
